Mahmoudli Camp School Programme
The absence of schools in the Raqqa area and further afield has left many children without proper education. For this reason, there is a very visible and urgent need for educational support and for the funding to enable children to obtain their right to obtaining a proper education.
The SRRF is delighted to announce that we have committed to funding the Mahmoudli Camp Formal Primary School - providing formal education for 729 children for a whole school year, beginning in September 2022. As well as providing teaching, administrative support and the maintenance of classrooms, our funding will also enable the school to connect to sustainable source of both water and electricity. Moreover, the tents which provide the temporary classrooms will be rehabilitated and re equipped, guaranteeing a safe and more conducive learning environment for the pupils.
Our funding will guarantee fully trained teaching staff and protection officers for the duration of the year - many of whom have already been involved with the school and who have already formed strong bonds with the children that SRRF supports through this programme.
We are delighted to join forces again with our trusted charity partner Action for Humanity (formally named Syria Relief) to deliver this programme.
